Apple & Not-Apple

APPLE & NOT-APPLE is a short poetry zine that circles the fruit. Twelve ways of looking, one way of not.

It moves through Eden and the Tian Shan mountains, Newton's garden, Snow White's coffin, Turing's half-eaten fruit, the trackpad and the Siri prompt, a pie recipe, an abecedarian of everything an apple is not. Somewhere in the middle, the letter A is removed and the text is asked to survive without it.

Part list poem, part instruction manual, part refusal. On photographing an apple: Don't.

Digital — 16 pages, PDF, black and white. $5.

Physical — 16 pages, half-page (5.5 × 8.5"), hand-stitched with red linen thread on gray copy paper. Edition of 10, signed and numbered. $12 + shipping.
